Thankful for a happy marriage

So, I'm going back to work full time next week. I've been out of that world for almost four months now, and I just have to comment on what a wonderful, supportive husband I have. He must have been thinking over these last few months how great it would be if I worked more and made more money to contribute to all of the things we want to do for the house and our family, but he did not ONCE tell me to go back to work. He just supported my decision to work part time and supported us financially.

We are so blessed!

2 months, new kitchen and new puppy!

We have done a lot of work! It is like a totally new house now. We could not have done it without the help of Mom C. and Dean!

We also have a new addition to our family! A new puppy named Jack. Here he is:




We can't believe it has been two months of marriage! It has gone by so fast. We are looking forward to our reception in Michigan next month so we can celebrate with all of Nick's family and friends. Here's a few more pictures:

These are some of my favorite photos. We had a wonderful day! It truly was the happiest day of my life so far!

16 Days to go...

Only 16 more days until the wedding! We still have to order the tuxes and get wedding bands, but I think that's it. The showers went great in NY and in FL. I'll post pictures soon. Everything is going smoothly and we are SO READY to be married!

The house is a whole other story, though. The closing keeps getting pushed back. They turned the electricity off early, so the pool has become a swamp. We are afraid a moldy monster may actually grow inside... no joke. It's that bad. Anyway, we are told Tuesday will be the day, but we aren't holding out for that. Please pray for us! We have a very busy 16 days ahead of us.

The Countdown

Since our wedding is in 33 days, we decided to start a Grassley family blog. I thought this would be a great way to keep family and friends updated on all of the excited things that are happening in our lives right now. Not only is the wedding coming up, but we are expected to close on our first home on May 8th! Here are some pictures. It needs a lot of work, but we are so excited!

I'll post a lot more when we close. My bridal shower in New York is next weekend, so I'll have lots of photos to post. The weekend after that is my bridal dinner/bachelorette party here in Florida. Then, the following weekend I'll be celebrating in Miami with a few friends. We certainly are going to be busy this May!
